Patrick Markey
Medical advisor
Professional Qualifications Curriculum Vitae Mr Markey graduated from the University of Vienna in 2014 with a degree in Psychology, specialising in clinical psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Whilst still a student, he had already spent several years engaged in practical and co-ordinating work in the fields of community outreach social work and youth care. In addition, Mr Markey participated as a research assistant in several research projects, including topics such as psychotic experiences in adolescents and the genetic basis of impulsive behaviour
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology (Mag. rer. nat.)
  • Possesses extensive practical experience in fundamental psychological research and has published over ten academic papers in international peer-reviewed journals
  • Has seven years’ practical experience in children’s leisure education, youth work and outreach social work (street work), during which time he completed numerous further education and training courses and held management and coordination roles
  • Specialises in Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and adolescents, and conducts weekly group ADHD counselling sessions in Munich
  • As a university assistant at the University of Vienna, he was actively involved in basic psychological research and teaching; in 2019, he moved into the private sector to conduct neuroscientific research in the field of user experience
  • Since 2021, Mr Maqi has been training as a psychotherapist at vfkv and has served as a research assistant at PTGZ since the summer of 2022
